Rawlissa Rawls, FNP-C, has worked in the medical field for more than fifteen years, beginning her career as a direct support provider before becoming a CNA in a nursing home caring for the elderly. Her passion for advancing her knowledge led her to a Level I trauma center, where she worked as a PCA and later transitioned to the ER as a critical care technician. Inspired to take on a greater role in patient care, Rawlissa pursued nursing, working as a CNA while in school and ultimately becoming a registered nurse in 2019.
Her nursing background is broad and includes experience in PCU, dialysis, med-surg, corrections, and hospice, where she also served as a charge nurse in dialysis. After graduating from her FNP program, Rawlissa relocated from Florida to Colorado in 2025 and joined Peak Vista as a fellow. She is passionate about primary care and takes pride in partnering with patients to help them achieve their health goals. She has particular interests in diabetes education, functional medicine, weight management, and holistic care. Rawlissa believes in finding a healthy balance between natural remedies and western medicine, supporting patients through both pharmacological and nonpharmacological approaches. Her goal is always to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns and working toward better health.
Outside of her professional work, Rawlissa enjoys spa days, shopping, trying new restaurants, traveling, deep sea fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
