Peak Vista uses the widely accepted definition of quality given by the Institute of Medicine, that quality health care should be safe, effective, patient centered, timely, efficient and equitable.

We are dedicated to delivering quality service in all that we do. Our leadership is committed to innovation and excellence in providing health care services and implementing organizational efficiencies. We strive to provide good stewardship and mindful use of all resources while showing respect for each person, as expressed in our cultural beliefs.

Accreditation

In efforts to provide high-quality care to our patients, Peak Vista (Pikes Peak & East Central regions) maintains accreditation through Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc (AAAHC).

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care(opens in a new tab), also known as AAAHC, is a private, non-profit organization formed in 1979. AAAHC is the preeminent leader in developing standards to advance and promote patient safety, quality and value for ambulatory health care through peer-based accreditation processes, education and research.

Accreditation is awarded to organizations that are found to be in compliance with AAAHC standards. AAAHC currently accredits a wide variety of ambulatory health care settings, including Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), ambulatory and office-based surgery centers, managed care organizations and Indian and student health centers, among others. With a single focus on the ambulatory care community, AAAHC offers organizations a high-quality and collaborative approach to accreditation.
