What We Do In The Community

Our Outreach team brings health information straight into places where people live, work, and gather. We attend school carnivals, neighborhood festivals, resource fairs, health events, and community centers. At each event, we set up a table, answer questions, help people understand care options, and connect them to programs that support their health. Our goal is to make care easier to reach and easier to understand.

Our work includes:

  • Sharing information about medical, dental, and behavioral health services.
  • Helping people learn where to get care.
  • Answering questions about services and insurance.
  • Setting up tables at local events and speaking with families face-to-face.
  • Connecting people to programs that support long-term health.
  • Guiding people through next steps, such as Medicaid or appointment scheduling.

Why this matters: Meeting people where they already are makes care easier to understand and less stressful.

   Our Outreach Team In Action

Our Outreach team is made up of caring people who enjoy working with the community. Each team member brings strong experience and a desire to help others. We show up to events ready to listen, answer questions, and guide people toward the services they need. Our goal is to make Peak Vista feel welcoming and easy to approach.

Why This Matters: Seeing the team helps you know who you will meet and builds trust before you talk with us.

Our Community Outreach team visits places where families and community members already spend time. You’ll see us at events and gathering spaces across Colorado Springs, the East Central Region, the Eastern Plains, Fountain, and Divide. We show up in settings that bring people together so they can learn about care in a familiar environment.

We often attend:

  • Resource fairs and health events
  • School carnivals and youth activities
  • Community center and senior programs
  • Neighborhood festivals and cultural events
  • Partner-led community gatherings

Why This Matters: This helps you spot us in your community and think of events where our team could be helpful.

At each event, our team brings tools and information to help people learn about Peak Vista’s services. We set up tables, share brochures, bring age-appropriate swag, and answer questions about how to get care.

We bring:

  • Brochures and printed materials
  • Swag for kids and adults
  • Service and location information
  • Help with where to go for care
  • Support for insurance and program questions
  • A friendly, welcoming team

Why This Matters: When you know what we bring, it’s easier to find us at events and get the information or support you need.

  Partnering With Outreach

Our team loves learning about local events where we can connect people to care. If you’re hosting a school activity, community event, neighborhood gathering, or program that supports families, we’d love to hear about it. Even a short conversation at an event can help someone take an important step toward getting care.

Why This Matters: Reaching out helps us partner with your event and support the community.

If you would like our Outreach team at your event, we make the process simple. Many people don’t know what health care resources are available to them, and even a small outreach table can make a big difference. Soon we will offer an online request form, but until then you can email the Outreach inbox with your details.

When reaching out, please include:

  • Your organization’s name.
  • A short description of your event.
  • Event date, time, and location.
  • Your contact name, phone number, and email.
  • Any specific needs or space details.

Is My Event a Good Fit for Outreach?

Here are some common examples:

  • A school carnival that wants health resources for families.
  • A community center hosting a resource fair.
  • A neighborhood festival or cultural event.
  • A senior program needing support with health care questions.
  • A nonprofit running a food or toy drive.
  • A church holding a back-to-school or holiday event.

Organizations invite Outreach when they want to help people learn about care in a friendly, simple way.

Why This Matters: Requesting Outreach helps your event support families who may not know care is available to them.

Our Outreach team works with many organizations that support children, families, seniors, and underserved groups. We partner with groups we visit regularly or have ongoing relationships with. Each partnership looks a little different, and we support each group in the way that fits them best. These relationships help us share resources, support local events, and connect more people to care.

Common types of partners we work with include:

  • Local YMCAs and community centers.
  • Schools and youth-serving programs.
  • Cultural and neighborhood organizations.
  • Faith-based groups.
  • Nonprofits supporting families or seniors.
  • Agencies offering community resources or social services.

Some of our partners include:

Why This Matters: When we work with trusted community groups, it becomes easier for you and your family to learn about care in places you already visit and feel comfortable.
