Why Get a Flu Vaccine?

Getting vaccinated every year is one of the best ways to protect yourself from flu and reduce the risk of serious illness.

Protect Yourself

A flu vaccine can reduce your chance of getting sick with influenza.

Reduce Serious Illness

Vaccination can reduce the risk of serious flu complications and hospitalization.

Help Protect Others

Vaccination helps protect your family and community, including people at greater risk from flu.

Which Flu Vaccine Is Right for Me?

The flu vaccine you receive may depend on your age and health needs. Your care team can help you understand which option is appropriate for you.

Seasonal Protection

Standard Flu Vaccine

Standard seasonal flu vaccines are available for people in eligible age groups.

Your care team can review your age, health history and other factors to help determine which vaccine is appropriate for you.

For Adults 65+

Flu Vaccine Options for Older Adults

Adults ages 65 and older have flu vaccine options specifically recommended for their age group.

If you are 65 or older, ask your Peak Vista care team which flu vaccine option is available and recommended for you.

When Should I Get My Flu Vaccine?

For most people, September and October are good times to get vaccinated so your body has time to build protection as flu season begins.

It is not too late after October. Flu vaccination can still provide protection later in the season while influenza viruses are circulating.
