Peak Vista Community Health Centers (Peak Vista) welcomes Dr. Lawrence O’Connell as the new Medical Director of its Women’s Health Center.

Dr. O’Connell joins Peak Vista with over 30 years of healthcare experience. In this new role, he will oversee the organization’s Women’s Health Center.

“The women of El Paso County, from all walks of life, are struggling to access quality care. I look forward to expanding the size and scope of Peak Vista Women’s Clinic services. I am really pleased to be joining the skilled and compassionate providers of Peak Vista.”

Dr. O’Connell has been a practicing physician since 1993. He graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine in 1993, completed an OB/GYN residency at Keesler Air Force base and then served at the Air Force Academy from 1997-2001. For greater than 2 decades, he has been caring for the women and unborn children of Colorado at Academy Women’s Healthcare. He is also a Fellow (FACOG) of The American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecologists and a robotic surgery instructor.
