PRESS RELEASE

August 30, 2022

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Peak Vista Community Health Centers (Peak Vista) provided students in our community with nearly 600 back-to-school physicals over three Care Fair events. Students who completed their physical also received a free backpack filled with school supplies to help set them up for success in the new school year. In total, Peak Vista gave out 592 backpacks.

Peak Vista held its Back-to-School Care Fairs on Saturdays to reach parents who may not be able to secure a physical for their child during the week. The Care Fairs were held at three of Peak Vista’s Health Center locations including:

  • Pediatric Health Center at International Circle
  • Health Center at Fountain
  • Health Center at Jet Wing

Students had the option to come in for a routine back-to-school physical, sports physical, or immunizations.

“We love back-to-school season and providing these Care Fairs,” says Rosie Knox, Ambulatory Clinical Director over several Peak Vista health centers. “We have held these Care Fairs for the past several years, and the response is always so positive. It is a joy to help our community with these physicals and to provide kids with the tools they need to succeed in the new school year.”

Peak Vista continues to offer back-to-school physicals, sports physicals, and immunizations in most of its locations. To schedule an appointment, parents can call (719) 632-5700 or visit peakvista.org.
