December 10, 2025 | 8 am – Noon
Peak Vista Community Health Centers | 2828 International Circle, Suite 120,
Enrollment Services in the Bonanza Conference Room
Dr. Rob Laitman is a renowned educator and clinician specializing in the use of clozapine to treat treatment-resistant schizophrenia, schizoaffective, and bipolar I disorders. He will discuss the EASE protocol, which he developed to guide prescribers through effective and safe initiation and management of clozapine, including how to handle side effects.
Clozapine is widely recognized as the gold standard for individuals who have not responded to other antipsychotic medications. And the ONLY medicine FDA approved for reducing suicide risks in schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Up to 70% of patients with treatment-resistant schizophrenia show improvement on clozapine. In the USA there are an estimated 814,000 to 1.2 million individuals who have treatment resistant schizophrenia, and only about 148,000 of those people were prescribed clozapine.
