The federal 340B Drug Pricing Program, established by Congress in 1992, enables qualifying healthcare organizations—like federally qualified health centers and other safety-net providers—to purchase outpatient prescription medications at significantly reduced prices. This allows these entities to extend scarce federal funds further, ultimately improving access to care for vulnerable and underserved patients.
Eligibility & Purpose

Medication Access
