Dr. Clauss completed her undergraduate training in chemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1999 and received her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in 2003. She served her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Texas, Southwestern in Dallas at Parkland Hospital, where she also served as Chief Resident during her final year of training.
Dr. Clauss views Colorado Springs as her mission field and feels blessed to serve its women as a medical missionary. Dr. Clauss enjoys helping her patients by practicing general obstetrics and gynecology. She has a special interest in cervical dysplasia and gynecologic laparoscopic surgery.
In her free time, Dr. Clauss enjoys swimming, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and trail running. She and her husband Jeff moved to Colorado Springs in 2007 and have four young children. Together they enjoy camping with kids, traveling, and volunteering in ministry at a local church.
