Prenatal Care Classes - Childbirth Classes Covered by Medicaid

Peak Vista Community Health Center is proud to offer Prenatal Plus, a Medicaid-funded program designed to increase positive birth outcomes. If a woman qualifies, she can choose to sign up to be seen at each prenatal visit by a care coordinator, who provides education, resources and support throughout her pregnancy.

Education includes information on baby’s development, changes the expectant mom can expect in her body, breastfeeding, and information about labor and delivery. The Prenatal Plus team includes a childbirth educator and a mental health professional to complement the healthcare provider in order to create a whole-body wellness team for mom and baby.

This Medicaid-funded program provides education on:

  • Baby’s development throughout the pregnancy
  • Bodily changes mom will experience
  • Breastfeeding
  • Labor and delivery information
