2024 BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS®

Peak Vista's Breakfast of Champions® (BOC) celebrates individuals who overcome physical and mental challenges to achieve extraordinary feats that expand our understanding of human capacities. Peak Vista is honored to recognize two remarkable individuals in 2024: our keynote speaker, Janet Evans, and our champion, Bill Hybl.

Janet Evans is widely considered the greatest female distance swimmer in history. At 16, during the 1988 Seoul Games, she singlehandedly broke the stranglehold of the Eastern Bloc on Women’s Swimming – winning the first of her four gold medals and setting the first of her seven world records. During these games, it was Hybl who presented her with her first gold medal. Evans currently serves as the Chief Athlete Officer for the L.A. 2028 Olympic Games

This year, we will also honor William J. Hybl with the Champion of Community Health Award. A serious health episode led Mr. Hybl to recognize Peak Vista and the critical role it plays for thousands in Colorado Springs and beyond. Since 1988 he has been an eloquent and generous advocate for Peak Vista and health care in our community.

The 20th Breakfast of Champions® will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 7 – 9:00 AM, at Broadmoor Hall.

IMPACT

Peak Vista Community Health Centers is essential to the vitality and economic vibrance of the Pikes Peak and East Central regions of Colorado. In 2023 alone, we provided $10.2 million of Uncompensated Care, living our mission to provide exceptional health care to people facing access barriers.

100% of proceeds from the 2024 Breakfast of Champions® will fund Uncompensated Care. This translates into fewer lost days of work or school, fewer emergency room trips, and a healthier community for all.
