Prenatal Plus

Prenatal Plus is a Medicaid-funded program designed to increase positive birth outcomes. If a woman qualifies, she can choose to sign up to be seen at each prenatal visit by a care coordinator, who provides education, resources and support throughout her pregnancy. Education includes information on baby’s development, changes the woman can expect in her body, breastfeeding, and labor/delivery information. The Prenatal Plus team includes a child birth educator and a mental health professional to complement the healthcare provider in order to create a whole-body wellness team for mom and baby.
