FAQs

What is the Peak Vista Family Medicine Residency (FMR) program?

Peak Vista is the only Community Health Center/Federally Qualified Health Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We provide high-quality healthcare to the underserved population of El Paso and surrounding Colorado counties, encompassing over 94,000 patient lives. Our Residency is a traditional three-year Family Medicine residency with excellent community support from the local hospitals and specialty physicians.

Colorado Springs also has small Pathology residency, but no other primary care residencies, so our Program offers unopposed access to the attending physicians, surgeries and procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Due to the size of our organization, the Family Medicine residents benefit from managing the health of the more complex and medically challenging patients in the population, creating a rich learning environment. Our attending staff has experience in graduate medical education and the aptitude to help each resident mature and be a quality physician leader.
