Amber Vance earned her master’s degree in Counseling with a specialty in Clinical Mental Health from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. She completed her internship with Colorado Springs Fire Department CARES program and passed the National Counselor Examination and the Mental Health Jurisprudence Exam. Mrs. Vance holds an unrestricted independent license as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Addictions Counselor-III in the state of Colorado. Her areas of specialty and expertise include Substance Use, DBT, and Trauma Informed Care with the Houseless Population. Mrs. Vance works specifically with our special program in conjunction with The Place providing onsite, in the moment counseling to youth experiencing homelessness in Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas.
In her spare time Mrs. Vance enjoys watching movies and spending time outdoors.
