Peak Vista Community Health Centers Announces New President and CEO
May 11, 2011, Colorado Springs, CO -- Peak Vista Community Health Centers is pleased to announce that Pamela McManus, Peak Vista's current Senior Vice President, has accepted the promotion to President and CEO, according to George Guerrero, Chairman of the Board and Chair of the CEO Search Committee.
"Pam's passion for our mission, experience, and organizational familiarity were key factors in our decision-making. Her educational credentials, fiscal orientation, varied areas of expertise, and 19 year association with Peak Vista will allow for a seamless continuation of our community-wide mission. I want to thank the Search Committee and the Board of Directors for its dedication in recent months," stated Guerrero. McManus will take the reins of Peak Vista effective June 1. She replaces BJ Scott, who has transitioned to Executive Director of Peak Vista's Foundation.
McManus, MBA, CPA, is well-prepared for her new responsibilities. She is a 1996 graduate of Leadership Pikes Peak, a 2004 graduate of the University of California's Healthcare Executive Program, and was recognized as a "Top 40 Leader Under 40" by the Colorado Springs Business Journal. McManus serves as Treasurer for the Colorado Community Health Network (CCHN) and volunteers for various youth-related initiatives.
McManus shares, "I am thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to lead Peak Vista as we celebrate our 40th year of providing quality care for patients in the Pikes Peak Region. We are well positioned to provide a healthcare home to those who have pre-existing conditions, lack of health insurance and other barriers to healthcare access. Peak Vista is a vibrant and healthy non-profit with over 560 dedicated professionals who keep patient-centered care as their priority for primary medical, dental and behavioral health service delivery.
